The Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Partnership - Apprenticeships in the South West - Home

The Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Partnership was set up in 2007 and is a membership network of training providers who have Skills Funding Agency, YPLA and Local Authority contracts or sub-contracts. We have training provider members who deliver in either or both of Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, and membership comprises FE colleges, independent training providers and voluntary and community sector organisations.

The network helps members by helping them to understand and meet the requirements of the funding agencies, develop their businesses and access funding opportunities.  Members are offered a wide range of services:

  • Membership and user group MEETINGS, which include updates and presentations on topical subjects
  • Information on and access to other FUNDING opportunities
  • ACCESS to funded opportunities, such as promoting training to local employers , being involved in Have a Go events, and IAG training materials
  • NETWORKING with other training providers to develop working relationships, joint funding applications and dissemination of good practice
  • Free and discounted LOCAL TRAINING workshops on a range of subjects
  • Presenting a UNITED VOICE to the funding agencies, locally and regionally
  • Dissemination of INFORMATION and UPDATES on learning and training
  • Promotion of your APPRENTICESHIPS and other services through the website

GWP is part of the South West Training Provider Network (SWTPN) which comprises the chairs / managers of each of the 4 sub-regional networks in the South West.  The SWTPN meets together regularly and works closely with the regional representatives of the Skills Funding Agency, YPLA, NAS, local authorities, ALP and Jobcentre Plus.
